Pluto's story

Meet good natured and gentle Pluto! He was found lying by the side of the road and is a "tripod", having had one of his front legs amputated. He is around a year and a half old and small- to medium-sized, at around 15kg. At the moment he is a little overweight: this will need to be managed in his new home as it puts extra strain on his remaining front leg and spine.

Pluto is a calm, submissive dog, good with other dogs and children. He has now been cat-tested and was not at all interested in them (in fact, he seems a bit scared in the videos, but this could also be because he had been taken to a different shelter for the cat test). Any children in the house would need to be very gentle, sensible children.

We hope to bring Pluto to the UK in mid- to late January, and will consider a foster with a view to adopt

Homecheck and adoption fees apply (minimum donation £390). Pluto will be vaccinated, neutered, chipped with their own passport and 4 weeks free insurance. If you would like to adopt Pluto please complete our pre adoption form or email
