Tilly (was Edie)'s story

Tilly (originally called Edie) came to the UK with her friend Henna in September 2021. They had both been living in a cage with lots of other dogs, with very little care and attention. Edie was quickly adopted, but unfortunately her adopter's health has declined and they are no longer able to give her the exercise she needs, so she is now looking for a new home.

Tilly is now a friendly, loyal and clever 5-year old girl, and is medium-sized at around 15kg. She can be a little bit nervous around men until she gets to know them. Tilly needs a home with another dog. She would probably enjoy - and benefit from - some training classes: at the moment her recall is poor and she runs off if allowed off-lead. She is clean in the house and travels well in the car.

Tilly could possibly live with a confident cat - she ignores a family member's cat when visiting, but like most dogs will chase neighbours' cats which appear in her garden! She will bark at other dogs that come running up to her but accepts visiting dogs to her house and likes to play. Children in the home would need to be dog-savvy and over the age of 10 years.

Homecheck will apply, and a few meetings will be needed prior to adoption - donation to be agreed for the correct home. Tilly was tested for Brucella canis prior to travelling to the UK, and is neutered and up to date with all vaccinations. She is chipped and has her own passport. If you would like to adopt Tilly please complete our pre adoption form.
